Angels Fall First, est le premier album du groupe de metal symphonique Nightwish, sorti en 1997. À noter la présence de voix masculines sur Beauty And The Beast, The Carpenter, Astral Romance et la bonus track Once Upon A Troubadour, chant masculin assuré à l'époque par Tuomas Holopainen, le claviériste et compositeur principal du groupe. Il ne réitéra plus jamais l'expérience par la suite, tant il trouvera cette expérience désagréable. Angels Fall First sera le premier et seul album à bénéficier d'autant d'éléments acoustiques (Angels Fall First, Nymphomaniac Fantasia, The Carpenter, etc ...), qui seront ensuite mis à l'écart au profit d'un style plus heavy. Aussi, Angels Fall First est un album où Nightwish se cherche : Leur style musical est hésitant, mêlant mélancolie caractéristique à la musique gothique[réf. nécessaire] et power métal qui fera la renommée du groupe.
