Le nom de Listera a été attribué en l'honneur du naturaliste anglais Martin Lister

Fleur de Listera ovata

Description

Fine tige appuyée par des feuilles oposées.

L'inflorescence en grappe lâche de petites fleurs.

Labelle alongé.

Les fleurs ont un mécanisme qui permet au stigmate d'exploser et et de propulser le pollen sur le dos d'un insecte.[1]

Répartition

Amérique du Nord ou circumboréale.
