Love bombing
Le love bombing (bombardement d'amour) est une démonstration délibérée et maligne, organisée, d'une intense affection envers un individu. C'est avant tout une méthode de manipulation mentale qui vise à rapprocher l'individu d'un groupe. Le love bombing est considéré comme l'un des éléments caractéristiques d'une secte : c'est une affection feinte, qui serait utilisée par de nombreuses sectes, notamment aux États-Unis, comme les Famille (ex-Enfants de Dieu).
L'Église de l'Unification (Moon), une autre secte, utiliserait cette méthode depuis sa création pour persuader les possibles recrues de venir visiter leurs "camps". Il s'agirait ainsi d'exploiter les faiblesses des gens, notamment les dépressifs ou ceux qui sortent d'une relation amoureuse. On parle souvent de manipulation mentale à propos de pratiques de sectes. Nous vivons dans un monde ou les techniques de marketing ou de publicité cherchent aussi constamment à exploiter nos points faibles.
