Main Source est un groupe de Hip-hop, qui a connu un certain succès au début des années 1990[réf. nécessaire]. Il est constitué de Sir Scratch et K-Cut, natifs de Toronto, ainsi que de Large Professor et Mikey D, originaires du Queens.
Leur premier album Breaking Atoms a été particulièrement novateur, notamment dans ses paroles, et il comprend aussi la première apparition du jeune prodige Nas sur Live at the Barbeque. Le succès de cet album auprès de la critique n'empêchera pas le groupe de se séparer. Le nom Main Source sera conservé par la partie canadienne du groupe, Sir Scratch et K-Cut, lors de la sortie d'un second album Fuck What You Think, avec les paroles de Mikey D.
Large Professor a lui suivi une carrière de producteur à succès, auprès d'Eric B. & Rakim, Pete Rock & CL Smooth, Nas, ou encore Diamond D.
