Giovanni Nanni, dit Annius de Viterbe[1] (Viterbe, Latium, 1432 - † 13 novembre 1502) est un dominicain et un historien italien de la seconde moitié du XVe siècle et du début du XVIe siècle.

Né Giovanni Nanni, Annius de Viterbe publia à Rome en 1498, un recueil intitulé : Antiquitatum variarum, en 17 volumes, dit aussi Les Antiquités d’Annius, dans lequel se trouvent des écrits attribués à des auteurs de la plus haute antiquité, tels que Bérose, Manéthon de Sebennytos, Mégasthènes, Archiloque, Myrsile, Fabius Pictor, Sempronius, Caton, etc.

On a beaucoup disputé sur l’authenticité de ces écrits, mais Joseph Juste Scaliger en a démontré la fausseté.
