Master of Puppets est une chanson du groupe de thrash metal Metallica. Elle est la piste-titre de leur album Master of Puppets.

Elle partage une structure similaire avec Ride the Lightning en étant la piste-titre comme la seconde piste, précédée par une courte, typique piste thrash metal à haute-vitesse. Il y a plusieurs de ces pistes similiaires sur Ride the Lightning, Master of Puppets, et ...And Justice for All. Master of Puppets est aussi notable pour sa longue section instrumentale commençant sur trois minutes et demie dans la chanson.

La chanson, comme James Hetfield l'expliqua, « deals pretty much with drugs.
