Match TV était une chaîne de télévision mini-généraliste française principalement consacrée à l'actualité people diffusée sur le câble et sur CanalSat.

Histoire de la chaîne

Match TV était une des chaînes de Lagardère Active, le pôle audiovisuel du groupe industriel français Lagardère, par ailleurs propriétaire de l'hebdomadaire Paris Match. Elle a été créée le 10 décembre 2001 en relation avec Paris Match, duquel elle tire son nom et son logo.

Après avoir envisagé, début 2005, de la fusionner avec la chaîne en difficulté du groupe TF1, TV Breizh, Lagardère Active a décidé d'arrêter la diffusion de Match TV à partir du 31 août 2005 en invoquant que sa situation demeurait significativement déficitaire depuis sa création malgré un budget annuel estimé à près de 13 millions d'euros.

Identité visuelle

Tous les jingles de la chaîne avaient été composés par Jean-Michel Jarre aidé par Francis Rimbert.
