Maurice Goldman, né le 1er mars 1933 est un physicien français membre de l'Académie des Sciences[1], à l'origine de développements de la théorie de la résonance magnétique nucléaire.

Biographie

Ingénieur diplômé de l'École supérieure de physique et de chimie industrielles de la ville de Paris (70e promotion)[2], il rejoint le Commissariat à l'énergie atomique où il occupe les fonctions de physicien puis directeur scientifique de 1955 à 1993. De 1969 à 1983, il dirige le laboratoire de magnétisme nucléaire au Collège de France. Depuis 1993, il est conseiller scientifique au CEA. Maurice Goldman est à l'origine de travaux importants en résonance magnétique nucléaire notamment sur la thermodynamique statistique des systèmes de spins, la relaxation et la polarisation dynamique nucléaires, et la théorie de la RMN de haute résolution dans les liquides.
