May Britt

May Britt, née Maybritt Wilkens le 22 mars 1933 à Lidingö, comté de Stockholm, en Suède, est une actrice suédoise.

Biographie

Elle est remarquée par Carlo Ponti et Mario Soldati, à 18 ans alors qu'elle était assistante d'un photographe à Stockholm. Les deux Italiens cherchaient une fille blonde en vue d'un film. Elle les suit à Rome et commence à tourner un certain nombre de films où elle avait pour rôle d'être jolie.

La 20th Century Fox lui offre alors un contrat et la fait venir à Hollywood, où elle joue un rôle attractif et remarqué dans The Blue Angel (1959).

Mais vite fatiguée de jouer les femmes fatales, et ayant épousé Sammy Davis Jr., elle abandonne sa carrière cinématographique pour la vie familiale.
