Dans les méninges se trouve le liquide céphalo-rachidien ou liquide cerebro spinal en nouvelle nomenclature , qui amortit les chocs lors des mouvements.

Maladies possibles

Entre autres, il est possible de contracter une méningite ou une hémorragie méningée.
