Apple Daily (sinogrammes : 蘋果日報/苹果日报, Jyutping : Ping4 Gwo2 Jat6 Bou3, pinyin : Píngguǒ Rìbaò), est un journal quotidien Hongkongais fondé en 1995. Le quotidien fait partie du groupe Next Media contrôlé par Jimmy Lai. Du fait de son orientation libérale sur le plan économique et politique, il est interdit en Chine continentale.
Selon le propriétaire, l'origine de son journal « si Adam et Eve n'avaient pas croqué la pomme, il n'y aurait pas de mal ou malfaisance dans le monde, et le terme actualité n'existerait pas »[1].
History
Apple Daily, né le 20 juin 1995, fut le premier journal hongkongais à exploiter l'impression en couleur et à refuser de mettre de la publicité sur toute la page de une, contrairement à la plupart des quotidiens à cette époque. Son succès força sa concurrence à suivre son modèle. Certains journaux ont mis la clef sous la porte depuis.
