Approximately Infinite Universe est le troisième et deuxième double album solo de Yoko Ono, sorti le 8 janvier 1973 aux États-Unis et le 16 février 1973 en Angleterre.

Cet album est l'un des plus aboutis de Yoko; plus accompli et plus cohésif. Yoko a laissé de côté ses cris perçants pour quelque chose de bien plus dépouillé. Ce qui a également fonctionné étaient le choix et les thèmes des chansons autrement dit la violence en vers les femmes. Les différents styles de musique dans les chansons font de cet album, un répertoire très divers.

Ce disque a suscité très peu d'intérêt à l'époque ce qui explique qu'il n'entre qu'à la 193ème place des charts aux États-Unis. Aujourd'hui, il est reconnu avec estime, en particulier pour des chansons telles que Move On Fast, Now Or Never, Yang Yang, What A Bastard The World Is ou Death Of Samantha.

La ré-édition de 1997 par Rykodisc, contient deux maquettes de chansons enregistrées durant cette période, que l'on retrouvera sur l'album Season Of Glass en 1981.
