Nadim Gemayel est le fils du défunt président de la république libanaise Bachir Gemayel qui a été victime d'un assassinat à la bombe le 14 septembre 1982, et de Solange Gemayel, née Toutounji, députée de Beyrouth de 2005 à 2009.
Il entreprend des études de droit à Assas avant de retourner au Liban afin de reprendre le flambeau familial et de s'inscrire dans la lignée des Gemayel. Son oncle est Amine Gemayel et son grand-père Pierre Gemayel.
Il est élu député maronite de Beyrouth le 7 juin 2009 et fait partie de la majorité parlementaire anti-syrienne.
