Nick Park est un réalisateur de films d'animation britannique né le 6 décembre 1958 à Preston (Lancashire, Angleterre).

Intéressé très tôt par l'animation, il réalise ses premiers films dès l'âge de 13 ans.

Il rejoint les studios Aardman Animations en 1985. Il crée Creature Comforts en 1989. Il y achève Une grande excursion, film sur lequel il avait commencé à travailler lors de son passage à l'école nationale de film et télévision de Beaconsfield. Ce film sera proposé aux Oscars du cinéma, dans la catégorie meilleur court métrage d'animation, en 1989 mais Creature Comforts remporte l'Oscar.

Par la suite, Nick Park remporte des Oscars pour Un mauvais pantalon ,Rasé de près et Le mystère du lapin-garou
