La Piste de l'Oregon fut l'une des routes de migrations principales sur laquelle les pionniers voyagèrent à travers le continent nord-américain en train dans le but de s'installer dans de nouvelles régions des États-Unis d'Amérique durant le XIXe siècle. La Piste de l'Oregon aida les États-Unis à mettre en œuvre son but culturel de Manifest Destiny, lequel était d'édifier une grande nation.

Description

La piste de l'Oregon partait de Fort Vancouver à l'ouest, suivait la Columbia puis la Snake River jusqu'au Fort Bridger. Elle fut progressivement abandonnée avec l'achèvement du premier chemin de fer transcontinental en 1869.
