L'Oryx est un genre de la sous-famille des hippotragues, comprenant trois espèces :

Les oryx portent typiquement des cornes longues et droites, pointant vers l'arrière. L'oryx blanc est originaire de la péninsule arabique tandis que les autres espèces sont d'origine africaine.
