Le palazzo Gondi est un palais situé piazza San Firenze, en face du complesso di San Firenze, à un quartier de la Piazza della Signoria, à Florence.

Histoire

Édifié par Giuliano da Sangallo en 1490, il est un palais seigneurial typique de la ville avec le Palazzo Medici-Riccardi et le Palazzo Strozzi.

Architecture

De forme cubique , il entoure une cour centrale sur ses quatre côtés.

Sa façade est en bossage rustique (style bugnato) avec un effet perspectif de diminution depuis le rez-de-chaussée vers les deux étages supérieur séparés par des corniches marcapiano[2].

L'ensemble est couronné sous le toit d'une corniche à moulure et modillons débordante dite cornicione (it).
