Penn State Nittany Lions est un club omnisports universitaire de la Pennsylvania State University. Les équipes des Nittany Lions participent aux compétitions universitaires organisées par la National Collegiate Athletic Association. Penn State fait partie de la division Big Ten Conference.

La plus fameuse équipe des Nittany Lions est celle de football américain qui fut championne nationale en 1982 et 1986. John Cappelletti fut de plus honoré par un Heisman Trophy en 1973. Penn State utilise le Beaver Stadium, enceinte de 107 282 places inaugurée en 1960. Les Nittany Lions ont la réputation d'être excellent sur la formation des linebackers.

Outre le football américain, l'autre point fort de Penn State est ses équipes de volley-ball (2 titres masculin en 1994 et 2008 et 1 titre féminin en 1999) et d'escrime (10 titres nationaux). Pour ces sports en salle, les Nittany Lions évoluent au Bryce Jordan Center (15 261 places) inaugurée le 7 avril 1993.
