Penzance (Pensans en Cornique) est une ville, une paroisse civile, une station balnéaire et un port situé dans le district de Penwith dans le sud-ouest de l'Angleterre, en Cornouailles. Elle a été incendiée par les Espagnols en 1595.

Dans la baie de Penzance, Saint Michael's Mount, le Mont-Saint-Michel cornouaillais, arbore sa forteresse du XIVe siècle ancrée au sommet d'un rocher granitique de 72 mètres. Cette citadelle de la mer bâtie par les Normands a remplacé la chapelle dédiée à l'archange qu'Edouard le Confesseur y avait fait édifier en 1044.
