Prud'homme

Prud'homme est un petit village francophone de la Saskatchewan (province occidentale du Canada). Prud'homme a d'abord été connue sous le nom de Bluebell Ranch, puis ensuite Marcotte's Crossing. En 1904, le premier train est passé et le village a été rebaptisé Lally Siding. Deux ans plus tard, il est devenu Howell et, enfin, en 1922, il a été nommé d'après l'évêque, Mgr. Joseph H. Prud'homme. La communauté est essentiellement basée sur l'agriculture.

La population est majoritairement composée de Fransaskois, Ukrainiens, Hongrois, Polonais. Le français est une langue quotidienne parmi un grand nombre de la population vieillissante. Dans les dernières années, il y a eu une augmentation de francophones parmi les jeunes générations en raison de l'école francophone de l'École Providence, dans la ville avoisinante de Vonda.
