Raphaël Cohen est un écrivain né en 1938 au Caire en Égypte et vivant actuellement à Paris.

Style

Son écriture aborde une grande variété de thèmes, où la relation humaine sous toutes ses formes est centrale. Parfois très littéraire, elle vise en général à aller rapidement à l'essentiel sans s'embarrasser de précautions oratoires ou de développements systématiques. Elle frappe par son ouverture, par sa liberté et par sa profondeur. Parfois elle peut choquer.

Biographie

En 1957 sa famille s'installe en France où il effectue sa formation d'ingénieur à l'École centrale de Lyon. Devenu ingénieur en 1963, il occupera parallèlement à son activité de recherche, d'écriture et d'enseignement divers postes en entreprise.

Dès l'enfance il est formé aux études talmudiques et kabbalistes, étudiant par la suite avec 7 maîtres différents dont une femme à Paris, Genève et Jérusalem.

De 1958 à 1990, il enseigne la pensée juive au sein de la communauté juive, maître souvent itinérant.

Il se consacre entièrement à l'étude et à sa propre création, qui est publiée en direct sur son site personnel.
