L’artwork (de l’anglais signifiant littéralement « travail artistique ») est l’ensemble des travaux de création artistique destinés à mettre en valeur un produit de type culturel, tel qu’un album de musique, un jeu vidéo ou encore un film sur support vidéo. Il s’agit principalement du travail d’illustration et de graphisme, de la conception du packaging (définition du style et de la forme de l’emballage, en l’occurrence pochette ou jaquette, ainsi que livret ou guide officiel), de la photographie éventuelle, de la mise en page, etc.
Dans le domaine littéraire, on parlera plus volontiers de « maquette », terme désignant l’ensemble du travail de réalisation de la couverture d’un ouvrage.
