Román Benedicto Colón, né le 13 août 1979 à Monte Cristi en République dominicaine, est un joueur dominicain de baseball évoluant en Ligue majeure de baseball chez les Dodgers de Los Angeles.

Román Colón est recruté comme agent libre le 14 août 1995 par les Braves d'Atlanta. Après plus de huit saisons en Ligues mineures (1996-2004), il débute en Ligue majeure le 21 août 2004.

Il est échangé le 31 juillet 2005 aux Tigers de Détroit avec Zach Miner contre Kyle Farnsworth[1].

Román Colón est de nouveau échangé le 13 juillet 2007 et se retrouve chez les Royals de Kansas City.
