Le SS Maheno est un navire, construit pour le confort et la vitesse en 1904 en Écosse.

Il a été utilisé comme navire-hôpital lors de la Première Guerre mondiale.

Le 8 juillet 1935, à 14 heures, le SS Maheno fut pris dans un cyclone hivernal et jeté sur l'île Fraser en Australie le 9 juillet.

La Royal Australian Air Force a utilisé l'épave comme cible lors de la Seconde Guerre mondiale.
