Athalia ou Athalie fut une reine de Juda sous le règne du roi Joram. Elle est devenue la dirigeante du royaume pendant cinq ans après l'assassinat de son mari et mourra elle-même assasinée.
William Foxwell Albright a daté son règne de -842 à -837, alors que Edwin R. Thiele propose les dates de -841 à -835.
Athalia était la fille du roi Achab et la reine Jézabel d'Israël. Son mariage à Joram scella un traité de paix entre Israël et Juda.
Jean Racine lui consacra la tragédie Athalie et Georg Friedrich Haendel une œuvre.
