Crystal Distortion, de son vrai nom Simon Carter, est un compositeur de musique électronique anglais, vivant en France, apparenté au style tribe.
Il devient membre du collectif Spiral Tribe[précision nécessaire]. Il est l'un des "fondateurs" du milieu "Rave ON" « free music for free people »[réf. nécessaire].
Il a vu apparaître différents styles de musique sans pour autant en suivre un précisément. Son style est un mélange d'electro, de breakbeat, a tendance hardtechno ou acidcore, une musique électronique débridée[réf. nécessaire].
Il a fait plusieurs duos avec 69DB.
