Socrate le Scolastique ou Socrate de Constantinople (Constantinople, c. 380 - 450) était un historiographe romain chrétien de langue grecque, spécialisé dans l'histoire de l'Église. Son ouvrage le plus connu est le Historia Ecclesiastica, c'est-à-dire Histoire de l'Église, continuant celle d'Eusèbe de Césarée, allant de 306 à 439, et prend en compte l'histoire profane.
