John Augustin Daly, né le 20 juillet 1838 à Plymouth (Caroline du Nord), et décédé le 7 juin 1899, est un dramaturge et directeur de théâtre américain.
Il fut critique dramatique pour de nombreux journaux new-yorkais à partir de 1859, et adapta ou écrivit un grand nombre de pièces. Son premier succès fut Under the Gaslight, en 1867.
En 1869, il était directeur du Théâtre de la Cinquième Avenue. Il fit bâtir et inaugura en 1879 le Daly's Theatre à New York, puis le Daly's Theatre à Londres.
