Szombathely [som.bɒt.hɛj] est une ville de Hongrie située près de la frontière autrichienne, dans le comitat de Vas, dont elle est le chef-lieu. Fondée à l'époque romaine, c'est l'une des plus anciennes villes de la Hongrie moderne. Saint Martin y serait né en 316.
