Taking Chance est un téléfilm américain réalisé par Ross Katz et diffusé en février 2009.

Synopsis
En avril 2004, le lieutenant-colonel Michel Strobl, USMC, a lu par hasard le nom du caporal Chance sur une liste de pertes militaires en Irak, un jeune marine qui est tombé au combat à Al-Anbar. Strobl qui est un vétéran de Tempête du désert avec 17 ans de service militaire, a demandé qu'il soit assigné pour le devoir d'escorte militaire et accompagner les restes de Chance à sa famille.
L'histoire, tirée de faits réels, raconte le voyage avec beaucoup de pudeur et d'émotion. Pour la petite histoire, il est tout à fait inhabituel qu'un officier supérieur fasse ce devoir d'escorte qui est normalement dévolu à un sous-officier.
