Astrophysical Journal

L'Astrophysical Journal est une des revues scientifiques à comité de lecture les plus en vue dans le monde de la recherche en astronomie et astrophysique.

De nombreuses découvertes classiques du XXe siècle ont été rapportés d'abord dans cette revue qui a aussi présenté les travaux le plus importants dans le domaine des quasars, pulsars, étoiles à neutrons, trous noirs, champ magnétique solaire, rayons X et milieu interstellaire.

La revue a été fondé en 1895 par George Ellery Hale et James Edward Keeler. Depuis 1953 un supplément est publié, l'Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series qui contient un bon nombre des papiers les plus fréquemment cités dans l'Astrophysical Journal.
