The Auk est une revue scientifique trimestrielle et la publication officielle de l'American Ornithologists' Union (AOU). Elle paraît de façon ininterrompue depuis 1884. Ce journal offre des articles sur l'anatomie, le comportement et la distribution des oiseaux. Ce journal est nommé ainsi en l'honneur du Grand Pingouin (en anglais Great Auk), symbole de l'AOU et aujourd'hui disparu. The Auk est actuellement dirigé par Spencer G. Sealy, du département de zoologie de l'University of Manitoba.
