The Mothers of Invention était un groupe de rock et de musique expérimentale actif de 1964 à 1975. Ils jouaient principalement des compositions du guitariste et compositeur Frank Zappa et étaient le premier groupe avec lequel travailla et enregistra celui-ci, bien que d'autres membres aient également composé certains morceaux.
