Tony Hand (né le 15 août 1967 à Édimbourg en Écosse) est un joueur et entraîneur professionnel de hockey sur glace britannique.

Carrière de joueur

Considéré par plusieurs[Par qui ?] comme l'un des meilleurs joueurs provenant du Royaume-Uni, il a été aussi le premier joueur ayant joué son hockey junior dans son pays à être repêché par un club de la Ligue nationale de hockey. Il fut ainsi sélectionné par les Oilers d'Edmonton lors du repêchage de 1986.

Après avoir été repêché, il joua trois parties dans le hockey junior canadien avec les Cougars de Victoria de la Western Hockey League. Il retourna ensuite en Écosse, avec son ancien club, les Racers de Murrayfield avec lesquels il joua jusqu'à la fin de la saison 1993-94.

Ensuite, il joua pour diverses clubs de la ligue d'élite du Royaume-Uni. Il devint pour la première fois joueur-entraîneur avec les Giants de Belfast lors de la saison 2004-05 et plus tard occupa le même poste avec les Phoenix de Manchester.

Il représenta à maintes reprises son pays au Championnat du monde de hockey sur glace.
