Wilder Dwight Bancroft est un chimiste américain du début du XXe siècle.
Il est né le 1er octobre 1867 et décédé le 7 février 1953. Il a été assistant puis professeur à l'université Harvard. Dans le cadre de ses travaux, il a établi la loi à ce jour reconnu comme le loi de Bancroft.
