Sir William Schwenck Gilbert est un scénariste et compositeur britannique né le 18 novembre 1836 à The Strand (Londres, Royaume-Uni), décédé le 29 mai 1911 à Harrow Weald (Royaume-Uni). Il est surtout connu pour sa collaboration au sein de Gilbert et Sullivan.
