Young British Artists
Young British Artists « Jeunes artistes britanniques » ou YBAs (voir Brit artists ou Britart) est un groupe d'artistes contemporain du Royaume-Uni, sortants pour la plupart du Goldsmiths College à Londres.
Le terme « Young British Artist » provient d'une série d'expositions à ce nom, organisées à la galerie Saatchi à partir de 1992, qui conduisit ces artistes à la célébrité. Ceux-ci furent remarqués pour leur « tactique du choc », l'usage de matériaux inhabituels et animaux. Ils obtinrent une large couverture médiatique et dominèrent l'art britannique des années 1990. YBA est ainsi devenu un terme historique, la plupart de ces artistes ayant aujourd'hui la cinquantaine.
