Yitzhak Sadeh, né à Lublin (Pologne) en 1890 et mort à Tel Aviv en août 1952, est un général, homme politique et idéologue socialiste israélien.

Biographie

Il sert dans l'armée russe durant la Première Guerre mondiale et il est membre d'organisations d'auto-défense juive durant la guerre civile. Il émigre en Palestine mandataire à l'âge de 30 ans. En 1941, il fonde le Palmah, dont il reste le premier commandant jusqu'en 1945.

De 1945 à 1946, il est chef d'état-major de la Haganah et commande la 8e brigade blindée durant la Guerre israélo-arabe de 1948. Il démissionne de l'armée en 1949.
