Zoyâ Pirzâd

Zoyâ Pirzâd (en persan: زویا پیرزاد) est une écrivaine iranienne, née en 1952 à Abadan (Iran)[1].

Les préoccupations et le langage simples et quotidiens des personnages de Zoyâ Pirzâd abaissent les frontières de la littérature persane, la rendant ainsi accessible au reste du monde, dans un souci de partage humaniste.

Son premier roman, J'éteins les lumières (I Turn Off the Lights ) a connu en Iran de nombreuses publications et a été traduit en plusieurs langues[2]. Elle a gagné le prix Houshang Golshiri du meilleur roman de l'année, pour la création remarquable des personnages, la représentation très fine des émotions contradictoires chez une femme, en créant une incertitude par la défamiliarisation de la vie quotidienne et en élaborant une langue en harmonie parfaite avec le thème et les personnages du roman[3].
