Amietophrynus maculatus est une espèce d'amphibien de la famille des Bufonidae.

Distribution

Cette espèce est endémique de la moitié sud de l'Afrique, elle se rencontre jusqu'à 1 700 m en Angola, au Bénin, au Botswana, au Burkina Faso, au Cameroun, en République centrafricaine, en République du Congo, en République démocratique du Congo, en Côte d'Ivoire, en Éthiopie, au Gabon, au Ghana, en Guinée, au Kenya, au Liberia, au Malawi, au Mozambique, en Namibie, au Nigeria, en Sierra Leone, en Afrique du Sud, au Swaziland, en Tanzanie, en Ouganda, en Zambie, au Zimbabwe

Elle pourrait être présente au Burundi, au Tchad, en Guinée équatoriale, au Mali, au Rwanda, au Soudan et au Togo.
