Leptodactylus est un genre d'amphibiens de la famille des Leptodactylidae.

Distribution

Les 90 espèces de ce genre se rencontrent dans le sud de l'Amérique du Nord, en Amérique centrale, en Amérique du Sud et aux Antilles

La synonymie de Adenomera, Vanzolinius et Lithodytes est discutée par Ponssa en 2008^[1]

Rana boans Lacépède, 1788 et Hylodes hallowelli Cope, 1862 sont rapprochées de Leptodactylus sur la base de descriptions très anciennes, mais en l'absence de spécimens, elles sont classées Incertae Sedis.
