Duncan MacPherson (né le 3 février 1966 à Saskatoon, dans la province de la Saskatchewan au Canada - décédé le 9 août 1989 dans les Alpes de Stubai en Autriche[1]) est un joueur de hockey sur glace canadien.

Carrière de joueur

Choix de 1re ronde des Islanders de New York lors du repêchage de la Ligue nationale de hockey en 1984, il devint professionnel en 1986 en se joignant aux Indians de Springfield de la Ligue américaine de hockey. Il n'y joua que 26 parties lors de sa première saison avec le club.

Il y joua deux autres saisons avant de se joindre au Ice d'Indianapolis en cours de la saison 1988-89. Après cette ultime saison en Amérique du Nord, il accepta de se joindre aux Dundee Tigers en Écosse en tant que joueur-entraîneur. Avant de rejoindre le club, il décida de prendre des vacances en Autriche. Il disparut sur le glacier des Alpes de Stubai en Autriche le 9 août 1989.

Il faudra plusieurs années avant que son corps soit retrouvé. Le 18 juillet 2003, son corps fut découvert par hasard dans une crevasse sur le glacier autrichien[2].
