E. W. Scripps Company est une entreprise américaine de média fondée le 2 novembre 1878 par Edward Willis Scripps (1854 – 1926) et basée à Cincinnati dans l'Ohio. La société possède 14 journaux et 10 stations de télévisions.

La société possédait plusieurs actifs dans les nouvelles technologies (Shopzilla) et les chaînes câblées (Home & Garden Television) qui ont été transférées dans une autre société en 2008, la Scripps Networks Interactive.

Historique

En 1925, la société lance la Scripps National Spelling Bee, une compétition annuelle où de jeunes gens doivent épeler des mots choisis par un jury.
