Forfar (Listeni / f ɒr . f ər / ; gaélique écossais : Baile Fharfair) est une ville et ancien bourg royal d'environ 13 500 personnes dans le comté d'Angus, situé dans l'Est des Central Lowlands d'Écosse. Forfar est la ville du comté d'Angus, qui a été officiellement connue sous le nom Forfarshire du XVIIIe siècle jusqu'en 1929, quand l'ancien nom a été rétabli et, aujourd'hui, sert de centre administratif pour l'Angus council.
Forfar est également connu pour son marché traditionnel, qui est alimenté par les fermes périphériques des basses terres de Strathmore à Angus central.
