Fred E. Sterling était un homme politique américain et ancien gouverneur adjoint républicain de l'Illinois.
Carrière politique
En 1908, il perd l'investiture républicaine pour le poste de secrétaire d’État[1]. Investit dix ans plutard par le parti républicain[2], il élu trésorier pour un mandat de deux ans[3]. En 1920, il est élu gouverneur adjoint[4]. Il sera réélu à son poste en 1924 et 1928 avant d'être battu en 1932 par le démocrate Thomas Donovan[5]’[6]’[7].
