Gheraṇḍa saṃhitā ou Gheraṇḍasaṃhitā (IAST ; devanāgarī: धेरंडसंहिता ) et l'un des trois textes classiques ou traditionnels du Haṭha Yoga[1]. Celui-ci a été composé par Gheranda au XVIIe siècle. Le texte qui comprend 5483 mots[2] est composé de 351 śloka (strophes) réparties en sept upadeśa (leçons ou chapitre)[3]. Ces sept upadeśa ou leçons sont:
- sat-karmāni (Purification),
- āsana (Posture),
- mudrā (Position des doigts),
- pratyāhāra (Retrait des sens),
- prānāyāma (Contrôle de la respiration),
- dhyāna (Méditation),
- samādhi (Achèvement par l'absorption profonde ou la contemplation).
