Les Gotham Independent Film Awards constituent une cérémonie annuelle au cours de laquelle des films indépendants sortis au cours de l’année écoulée ou des acteurs de l’industrie du cinéma indépendant sont récompensés. L’objectif est également de promouvoir le cinéma indépendant à un plus large public. La cérémonie, qui existe depuis 1991, se déroule à New York (qui était surnommée Gotham par Washington Irving) ; elle récompense principalement les films du Nord-Est des États-Unis.
