Grand Toronto

Le Grand Toronto, officiellement Greater Toronto Area (communément appelé GTA) est l'aire urbaine entourant la métropole de Toronto.

Population

Statistique Canada, au recensement de 2006, a dénombré pour Toronto (Région métropolitaine de recensement) une population de 5 113 149[1] habitants. Ce nombre ne comprend cependant pas tout le Grand Toronto.

On obtient le nombre en additionnant les populations des municipalités régionales d'Halton (439 256[2]), de Peel (1 159 405[3]), de York (892 712[4]), de Durham (561 258[5]) et de la ville de Toronto (2 503 281[6]), soit : 5 555 912 habitants.
