Beetlejuice, Bételgeuse en Québécois (parfois orthographié Beetle Juice) est un film américain de Tim Burton, sorti en 1988.

Synopsis

Un couple de jeune mariés meurt stupidement d'un accident de la route en ayant voulu éviter un chien. Ils deviennent donc des fantômes coincés pendant 125 ans dans leur maison. Devant leurs efforts infructueux pour en chasser les nouveaux propriétaires très dérangeants, ils font appel à Betelgeuse (plus facilement prononçable et reconnaissable sous le nom de Beetlejuice[1]), un « bio-exorciste » fort excentrique.

Anecdotes

C'est le premier film de Tim Burton, qui remporta un vrai succès. Tim Burton sympathisa avec l'acteur Michael Keaton sur le tournage. C'est pour cela qu'il lui proposa le rôle de Batman dans son film de 1989. La Warner ne voulait pas de lui pour faire Batman car son rôle de Beetlejuice lui collait à la peau. Cependant Tim Burton ne voulait personne d'autres pour incarner l'homme chauve-souris la Warner finit par accepter son choix. La prestation de Michael Keaton fut une réussite ainsi que le film.
