Robert Charles Kerman, né le 16 décembre 1941 à Brooklyn, est un acteur, cinéaste et producteur de cinéma américain d'origine italienne.

Il est principalement connu pour ses participations en 1980 à des films d'horreur italiens tels que Cannibal Holocaust de Ruggero Deodato, Cannibal Ferox et La Secte des cannibales de Umberto Lenzi. Il a également plus de 100 films pornographiques à son actif, le plus célèbre étant Debbie Does Dallas (1978). Il est également apparu dans la suite, Debbie Does Dallas II (1981), mais dans un rôle différent, celui d'un camionneur.

Biographie

Kerman obtient un premier rôle majeur en 1979, lorsqu'il est au générique de Airport 80 Concorde aux côtés d'Alain Delon et de Robert Wagner, dans le rôle du contrôleur aérien. Dans les années 1980, il joue dans plusieurs films d'horreur italiens, à commencer par le classique du genre : Cannibal Holocaust de Ruggero Deodato, et de films de cannibals d'Umberto Lenzi : La Secte des cannibales et Cannibal Ferox. Mais parallèlement, il mène une carrière active dans le cinéma pornographique dans la première moitié de la décennie, au cours de laquelle il est remarqué dans le rôle de l'avocat Quim dans Le Liquide (1982), et Fritz von Holenwohl dans Public Affairs d'Henri Pachard (1984).

En 1985, Kerman fait irruption à la télévision, avec son rôle de procureur dans un épisode de la série télévisée Hill Street Blues, et des seconds rôles dans deux épisodes de Simon et Simon. Deux ans plus tard, il est un agent aux côtés de Kevin Costner et Gene Hackman dans le thriller No Way Out (1987), et apparaît avec un rôle sans nom dans un épisode de la série Cagney & Lacey.

Plus récemment, il interprète un capitaine de remorqueur de Spider Man de Sam Raimi, et le Dr Monroe dans le court métrage de fiction Vic, réalisé par Sage Stallone.
